Paying By Card
No cash? No problem. Secure contactless payments are now available on all of our buses across our network.
Paying with contactless is a simple and secure way to pay for tickets without cash.
One tap of your contactless card, (visa) (Mastercard) (Apple) Pay when you’re aboard and ready to go, no need to worry about having cash on you.
You can buy tickets up to the value of £45, quickly and securely with contactless. So whether it’s a last minute trip or a regular journey, paying for your ticket has never been more convenient.
Contactless is a simple and secure way to pay for bus travel without needing cash. Contactless payments can be made for any tickets up to the transaction value of £45 by placing your contactless card or device on the ticket machine’s reader. Simply tap and go!
Tip – Please ask the driver for your ticket, and only place the card on the contactless reader when ready.
Unfortunately you are not able to use your pin number when buying a ticket, if your card fails, you can try anaother one, however we will not be able to tell you why a card has failed or been declined.
Cash Payments
We do accept cash payments, and we do give change within reason, however, we may not always be able to give change.
What happens if the driver cannot give me change
If we cannot give you change you may be offered a CHANGE VOUCHER.
How do change vouchers work
We will offer you a printed change voucher for the exact amount of change you require.
How do I claim my change voucher?
When you travel on your next journey you should be able to change your receipt for cash, providing the driver has some change, or see any Hulley’s of Baslow driver and they will gladly help you.

Don't Be Stranded
We do our very best to run our buses as advertised, but sometimes due to circumstances outside our control we’re unable to run some journeys. In line with Derbyshire County Council’s BSIP Policy, if we fail to operate the last bus of the day on any route then you can claim for a refund for a taxi fare between any two points on that route. Just email to us a copy of the taxi receipt showing the exact start and finish points of your journey, along with your name, bank sort codes and bank account number. Please allow 5 working days for your refund to be processed.
Lost Property
In line with our Conditions of Carriage, unfortunately we cannot accept claims for consequential loss.
